Joy is a software service provided by Joy solutions AB, Registered No. 559435-7971, of Kostergränd 4A, 211 75 Malmö, Sweden.
The following terms of service apply to your use of and access to Joy, which is intended exclusively for professional use by healthcare and mental health professionals, with either a free or paid subscription. Through using Joy, you accept these terms as a legally binding agreement.

1. Changes to terms
Changes to these terms may occur. If we make any significant changes, we will email you and let you know, so please ensure your account has an up-to-date email address. If you continue using Joy after being notified of a change, you have accepted the new terms.
2. Your Joy account
You create a Joy account by signing up to our service. In order to create that account, you must provide us with certain information about yourself. This information must be true and up to date. Accounts are personal and may not be shared with other individuals. You are responsible for anything that happens under your Joy account, regardless of where you are geographically. You can choose to delete your account. Just reach out to us at support@joy.day.
3. Our plans and payment
The first 15 notes are offered for free to all users. Once you have reached 15 notes, a paywall will pop-up where you can choose to enter your card details and start a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed on a monthly basis and renew automatically each month. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime to avoid future charges. Following a cancellation or suspension of your account, we will delete your account and data 60 days after it becomes inactive.
4. Refund policy
We believe in the value of our product, which is why we offer the first 15 notes free of charge. This allows you to experience the full benefits of Joy Notes before committing to a paid subscription. Due to the nature of our service, we do not offer refunds for any subscription charges. By providing a generous free trial, we ensure that you have ample opportunity to evaluate Joy Notes before committing to a paid plan. We understand that things don't always go as planned. If you believe there has been an error with your account or billing, please don't hesitate to contact us. 5. Your data
To understand how we use your data, please read our privacy policy. If you don't want your data used that way, you must either revoke your consent and cookie settings where applicable or stop using Joy. If you believe we use data in a way that is unethical or not necessary for the operation of Joy, please contact us with your concerns.
6. GDPR
We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and integrate its principles. In the UK, we conform to the Data Protection Act 2018 and abide by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). If you are located in the EEA (European Economic Area, includes the EU), UK or Switzerland, you need a data protection agreement with us. Your DPA (data protection agreement) is included in the signup process.
7. Australian Privacy Act
For Australian users we comply with relevant Australian laws, including the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and where applicable, the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), integrating its principles into our operations.
8. Access
We try to make Joy available for use 24/7 and strive to manage maintenance at times when it has minimal impact on our users.
9. Acceptable use
Don't violate the law with or in Joy. Our governing law is the Swedish law. You are responsible for the content you generate and store in Joy and must ensure that all content and your use of it comply with applicable laws.
10. Ownership and confidentiality
The content you create or upload to Joy, belongs to you. If you made it, it's yours. Likewise, everything that we have made is ours. All confidential information we exchange will be kept entirely confidential. It will also only ever be used for the purpose it was exchanged for, such as billing, development or support.
11. Termination and suspension
If you significantly violate these terms and don't fix the violation when we make you aware of it, we may terminate your account. We will do our best to let you know we are about to terminate the account, but in some cases, it might not be possible. We can suspend your service for several reasons, for example: 1) you break the law or 2) your use negatively impacts the operation of our services.
12. Force majeure
If unforeseen events that are out of our control occur (like a sudden storm, a city-wide blackout, or other rare and significant events), neither of us will be held responsible for not meeting our obligations under this agreement. We'll aim to notify the other party promptly and work together to find a reasonable solution to resume our responsibilities as soon as possible.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swedish law. If a dispute cannot be resolved by communication and we have to seek the court's help, we will do so in the District Court of Malmö, Sweden.
